Depending on how you use the website, information may include your name; your email address; the subject and content of an enquiry; your location, if you choose to provide it when submitting a reflection or testimonial; a reflection or testimonial you choose to submit; the date and time that you gave permission for a submitted reflection or testimonial to be published; and technical information required for website security and administration. The website does not collect payment card or bank details. Payments for readings or other services are arranged directly between Moya and the client and are not processed through this website.

When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, enquiry type and message are stored securely so that Moya can read and respond to your enquiry. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically create or confirm an appointment. The information is used to take steps at your request before potentially providing a service and, where appropriate, for the legitimate interests of responding to and administering genuine enquiries. Contact enquiries are not used for email marketing.

If you choose to submit a reflection or testimonial, the website asks for your name, an optional location and your comments. Before submitting it, you are asked to give permission for Moya O'Dwyer to publish your name, location (if supplied) and the words you have submitted. Submissions are moderated and do not automatically appear publicly. Permission to publish is recorded with the date and time it was given.

You may withdraw your permission for a submitted testimonial to remain published by contacting Moya using the details above. This will not affect the lawfulness of any use before permission was withdrawn.

The website uses security measures to help prevent spam, misuse and unauthorised access. For public enquiry and reflection forms, limited technical processing is used for rate limiting. A visitor's IP address may be processed temporarily in memory and converted into a one-way security hash. The IP address itself is not stored. The security hash and timestamp are retained only for approximately one hour for abuse prevention and are then automatically removed.

Moya's private website administration area uses secure authentication. Administrative sign-in information and session data are processed for authentication and security purposes.

Depending on the circumstances, personal information is processed because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or to perform an agreement with you; Moya has a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, administering her services, maintaining records and protecting the website from misuse; you have given permission for a testimonial or reflection to be published; or information must be retained or used to comply with a legal obligation. Where consent is relied upon, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including dealing with enquiries, administering services, resolving disputes and meeting applicable legal or record-keeping obligations. Contact enquiries can be permanently deleted by Moya when they are no longer required. Unapproved testimonial submissions are retained only while they are being considered or until they are deleted. Approved testimonials may remain published until Moya removes them or the contributor asks for them to be removed.

Short-term security rate-limiting records are automatically removed after approximately one hour. Some information may need to be retained for longer where required by law or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

The website currently uses third-party technology providers to operate securely. These include Lovable, for website hosting and associated infrastructure; Supabase through Lovable Cloud, for database, authentication and file storage; and underlying internet infrastructure and hosting providers used to deliver the website. These providers may process limited information on Moya's behalf as necessary to provide their services.

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, appropriate legal protections must be used where required by data protection law.

The Media page contains video content hosted by YouTube. YouTube is not contacted merely because you visit the Media page. A locally stored preview is displayed first. YouTube content is loaded only after you deliberately choose to play the video. Once you choose to load the video, YouTube/Google may receive information about your device and visit and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy arrangements.

The website may contain links to third-party services such as Facebook, X, WhatsApp or other external websites. Following an external link takes you away from this website. Those organisations are responsible for their own websites and privacy practices.

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis being used, UK data protection law may give you rights concerning your personal information, including rights to ask for access to personal information held about you; ask for inaccurate information to be corrected; ask for information to be deleted in certain circumstances; ask for processing to be restricted in certain circumstances; object to certain uses of your information; receive or transfer certain information where the right to data portability applies; and withdraw consent where processing relies upon your consent. These rights are not absolute and do not all apply in every situation.
